SAGE-AU'2002 Conference
Annual Awards

Smith Family
The SAGE-AU Annual Awards are designed to recognise and reward those amongst us who contribute not only to the success of the Guild, but to the success of the profession.

Our main award is for services to the System Administration Profession, recognising years of tireless work amongst System Administrators world-wide.

Our secondary awards are for Outstanding SAGE-AU region and for Outstanding contribution to the mailing lists. For the region, the award committee looked at many things, including: regular, well run meetings; membership growth; positive feedback from members; selection of guest speakers; and a wider involvement in SAGE-AU. For the mailing lists, we received nominations from the membership citing regular posts answering questions, general helpfulness, good summarisation back to list, and displaying a professional attitude to posts.

Our tertiary awards, Services to SAGE-AU, is to recognise the commitment many individuals make to help SAGE-AU operate efficiently.

SAGE-AU Highly Commended is a category nominated by the membership, and the Awards Committee looked into each nomination in detail. The award is designed to recognise those amongst us who deserve special recognition for their tireless work and assistance to the industry, as nominated by their peers.

The Awards Committee and the National Executive congratulate this year's award winners:
